The Eric Auld Collection
Welcome to my collection of original painting and prints. Most of the pictures and prints are studies of the North East of Scotland, but some are taken from travels afar. I hope that you find something of interest. |

Sixty Years A Painter
Eric Auld an Aberdonian who, throughout his lifetime, has created in paint the wonderful values seen in his city and surrounding countryside. His inspiration stems from the enjoyment of portraying the rocks of coast or hill, the contrasts of sea, river and loch along with the infinite variations of North East weather. The city with its many virtues has been a fascination for the artist. The architecture, the institutions and industry have all been depicted in his many compositions. The valleys of Dee and Don have also provided many favourite images especially those noteable hills, Lochnagar and Bennachie. Further afield his travels have taken in most every corner of Scotland, resulting in a considerable body of work. |

Work in Progress
January 2010: Have started work on an Energy Capital painting. It will be a composition incorporating suggestions of renewable energies on an image of the City. I will show the progression of the painting as it evolves. Using oil paint on stretched canvas 24" X 36" . Beginning with the tentative placing of the main features. You can see a larger image here.

| February 2010: I am now establishing the main features. They should be easily recognised as Aberdeen's city centre and harbour. The foreground will be an indication of future developments. You can see a larger image here. |
